Long Lake Map: art installation

A private cabin owner on Long Lake wanted a large map of the lake to hang in his rec room/bar that included the historic establishments he and his family frequented over the decades. We started with a vector map from the county assessor’s office and added color, texture, a custom set of icons and some facts about the lake. Each location icon was designed to represent what it meant to the family. The design was then printed on three 2’ x 3’ pieces of plywood and hung in the cabin for everyone to enjoy.
